Ahh… Fresh heavenly air! Not the oxygen: the love! As it is written,
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. – John 13:34-35
Breathe… A true convert to the Lord Jesus Christ need never have his or her heart chocked and suffocating. No, not if they simply yield to doing this.
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. – Philippians 2:1-8 [Notice that the entire two paragraphs is only talking to you!]
Exhale… No one can breathe for you, and no one can love like a Spirit filled Christian can love, so…
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. – I John 4:7-8 [Look up the tune and sing it!]
After thirty-five years, I can only say… breathe with me, now!
“Some of you say that there’s not enough love in the church. Then you need to stay and put some love here!” – Dr. R. L. Hymers, Jr., April, 1981
